DETAILS:
The weather is looking the best on Friday and Saturday - warm with light winds. Turning SSW on Sunday and still light winds but cooler temperatures. Of course this can change, as we well know!
The plan is to sail around to Refuge on Saturday morning from Towlers (before the RPAYC fleet sets off at 1pm). Gluhwein for sundowners on each raft - ingredients are red wine, brandy or rum, cinnamon stick, cloves, orange, sugar. Traditionally, goulash is also the accompaniment to gluhwein, so it’s a recipe suggestion.
If the wind conditions are favourable for anchoring in Smiths Creek or elsewhere further down Cowan Creek, we will head there on Sunday morning and stay overnight. In between times, books and boat bits swap mart, knitting lessons for Coromandel crew, lots of cups of tea and coffee, and boat maintenance tips and tricks if required.
Note, rafting is optional and up to individual members preferences. There should be plenty of spare moorings.
Please post on the Wall if you will be attending so that we know who to expect.
